Matte and gloss aren’t just a style preference, they behave differently depending on where the poster ends up and what’s on it.
Matte paper has a non-reflective surface that eliminates glare, which makes it the better choice for brightly lit spaces or anywhere a poster gets viewed from multiple angles. It’s also easier to read for text-heavy designs.
Gloss paper delivers more visual punch. Colors read richer and more saturated, and photos look sharper, which makes it the right call when the poster is carrying a strong image rather than a lot of copy. The gloss finish is more delicate though, so it’s best displayed somewhere protected from handling.
Our outdoor poster is a different material entirely, printed on polypropylene rather than paper. It’s scuff resistant and water resistant right out of the gate, which makes it the right choice for outdoor displays or anywhere a poster takes real handling. It comes with a matte finish standard, and can be laminated for maximum durability or a gloss look.
All three options are available in custom sizes, including extra large formats if you need something bigger than standard.

Posters get viewed from a few feet away in most cases, close enough that resolution really shows. Low-resolution images that look fine on a screen turn soft or pixelated once printed at full size.
We recommend 300 dpi resolution at your final print size for the sharpest results. Vector files, like AI, EPS, or PDF, work well for text and logos since they scale without losing quality. If you designed in Canva, we can work with that too, just share the link with us instead of downloading it yourself.
Include a 1/8-inch bleed for trimming, no need to add cut marks. That extra margin means nothing important gets cut off and you don’t end up with a white edge along one side.
Don’t have a print-ready file? That’s fine. Upload what you have, logos, photos, an existing design, and we’ll build it into something that prints sharp at the size you need. If you have any questions along the way, call, text, or email us.

We ask first, because the answer changes what we print it on. Indoor lobby, bright storefront window, outdoor event, each one calls for a different material and finish.
Sizing works the same way. Standard sizes cover most jobs, but not all of them. If your wall, your frame, or your display case doesn’t match a standard poster size, we’ll print to your actual dimensions instead of making you settle for close enough. Extra large formats are available too if you need something bigger than what most shops stock.
