Full bleed means your design, color, an image, a logo bar, prints all the way to the edge of the paper with no white border. Not every stock supports that, which is the main thing to know before choosing your letterhead paper.

Letterhead printing comes down to two decisions, the weight of the paper and whether you need full bleed, color or design that runs edge to edge with no white border.
Our 20lb and 28lb options are standard, non-bleed stock, meaning any design element has to stop short of the paper’s edge. 20lb is our most budget-friendly choice, a solid option for everyday business correspondence. 28lb is a premium ultra-white, smooth paper that feels noticeably more substantial in hand, worth choosing when the letterhead itself needs to make a stronger first impression.
If your design includes a colored background, a logo bar, or any element that touches the edge of the page, you’ll need one of our full-bleed options instead. 60lb, 80lb, and 100lb text stock, all matte, are built specifically to support that edge-to-edge printing. Each step up in weight adds more substance and rigidity to the sheet, with 100lb as our heaviest option.
All of our standard stock is white. Colored paper and specialty stock are available on request, though these require larger orders since we don’t keep them in regular inventory. The same goes for sizing, standard letterhead prints at 8.5″ x 11″, but other sizes are available as a special request for larger orders as well.

Letterhead is a working document, it needs to read clean and professional at a glance, whether it’s a printed letter, a fax, or something scanned and emailed later.
If you’re using one of our non-bleed stocks, 20lb or 28lb, keep your design at least a quarter inch from the edge of the page. These stocks can’t print all the way to the edge, so anything placed too close risks an uneven white border.
If you’re using a full-bleed stock, 60lb, 80lb, or 100lb, extend any background color or design element past the edge of the page by at least 1/8 inch. That extra margin ensures full edge-to-edge coverage with no unprinted gap once it’s trimmed.
A PDF with bleed built in is the best format for us to work with. If you designed in Canva, we can work with that too, just share the link with us instead of downloading it yourself. We’re also flexible here, a Word document or Google Doc works fine too, and we can build it into a designed, print-ready letterhead from there.

Full bleed sounds simple until someone orders 20lb stock expecting edge-to-edge color and gets a white border instead. We ask what your design actually needs before quoting the paper, not after, so you’re not the one finding out the hard way once it’s already printed.
That question comes up more than you’d think. A logo bar running down the side, a colored header, a footer band, any of these means you need one of our full-bleed stocks, 60lb, 80lb, or 100lb, not the standard 20lb or 28lb paper. We catch that before we quote it, so you’re not paying for the wrong stock and starting over.
Letterhead is one of the few print pieces that represents your business every single time it goes out the door, an invoice, a letter, a formal notice, a contract someone actually keeps. We treat it that way, checking the file is clean, the margins are right, and nothing’s going to print off-center or get cut wrong before anything prints, not just running whatever gets uploaded and hoping it looks right.

We’ll work from a Word document, a Google Doc, a Canva link, whatever you actually have, and build it into letterhead that prints correctly the first time. You don’t need design software or a design background to get letterhead that looks professional, you just need to tell us what your business does and how you want it to feel on paper.
Custom paper, off-white stock, sizes beyond standard letter, none of that scares us off either. It’s a special order and it takes a bit longer since we have to bring the paper in, but if that’s what your brand actually calls for, we’ll get it for you rather than talking you into whatever we happen to have on the shelf.
