Door hangers come in two sizes, 3.5″ x 8.5″ and 4″ x 11″, both sized to hang on a standard doorknob and get noticed before anyone even steps inside.
We print on 10pt or 14pt cardstock. 10pt is a solid, standard weight that works well for most campaigns. 14pt is heavier and more rigid, worth choosing if you want a more premium feel or extra durability for something that might sit on a porch for a day or two before being picked up.
Finish comes down to how you’re using the piece. Gloss and matte are straightforward, glossy or non-reflective on both sides. C1S, short for Coated One Side, is worth knowing about specifically, it’s glossy on the front and matte on the back. That combination is common when the front carries your promotion or ad in full color, and the back stays matte so someone can actually write on it, a coupon code, a personal note, or space for a customer to jot something down.

Door hangers get seen for a moment before someone decides whether to keep them or toss them, so bold, clear design matters more than dense text or fine detail.
Every door hanger needs a 2-inch hole near the top so it hangs securely on a doorknob. Leave enough clear space at the top of your design to accommodate that hole, important text, logos, or images placed too close to the top edge risk getting cut into.
Vector files, like AI, EPS, or PDF, print sharpest for text and logos. High-resolution images work too, as long as they’re built at full size from the start. If you designed in Canva, we can work with that too, just share the link with us instead of downloading it yourself.
Include a 1/8-inch bleed for trimming, no need to add cut marks. If you’re going with C1S, keep in mind the matte back is meant to be written on, so leave it clean rather than filling it with dense design.

C1S solves that specifically, gloss where the promotion needs to pop, matte where someone actually needs to write.
Same goes for stock weight. 10pt works fine for most campaigns, but if your door hangers are going to sit on a porch for a day before anyone gets home, 14pt holds up better and feels more substantial in hand.
